Everything is Everything ...

Everything is everything

It`s Gonna Be Alright...

Ledisi - In the Morning / Alright Lyrics
This life can make me so confused
But it's alright
Living day by day I feel so used
That ain't right

I just wanna run and hide
But I don't have the time to cry
And it's alright
It's alright, alright

Many thoughts are runnin' through my head
It's alright
Wishing to be somewhere else but here
And it's alright

I can't wait to see your face
I need a smile and your embrace
I'm alright
I'm alright, yeah

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright

People come and they go
It's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

Sometime the rain, it makes me sad
And it's alright
Some things in the world they make me mad
And it's alright

In the mornin' when I see the sun
I know I'm not the only one
And it's alright
It's alright, yeah

Wish I had some money to pay my bills
I can't even buy that dress on sale
But it's alright

Having money don't mean a thing
Loving you is everything
And I'm alright
I'm alright, yeah

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright

People come and they go
It's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

Everything is everything
It's gonna be alright
Everything is everything
It's gonna be alright

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright

People come and they go
That's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright

People come and they go
That's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

Life can bring us through many changes
It's alright
Just don't give up, know that it's gonna be alright

People come and they go
That's just the way that it goes
Everything is everything
It's alright

It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be, gonna be alright
Hold your head up high
Don't you give up, no

Acoustic Soul!

 Dear readers:

I asked my dear friend, Tatiana Anderson, to write a guest blog about music. Here are her thoughts:

I am one for live music. I grew up having to listen to smooth jazz on a daily basis. Music is such a big part of everyone’s lives whether it’s listening to the beat, lyrics, or just the sound of the music itself. I came across this video from amazing guitarist:

This video just has me sit back and just daydream of good times! The one memory that I have is when my best friend Jenny and I went to a place called the Rhythm Room and just danced our night away to live blues music. As I get older my taste in music has been getting more mature. Hopefully after listening to this song you will see what I mean by that statement.

Dixie Chicks – Not Ready To Make Nice

This pretty much says it all for me right now:

Dixie Chicks – Not Ready To Make Nice
Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

I’m through with doubt
There’s nothing left for me to figure out
I’ve paid a price
And I’ll keep paying

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I know you said
Can’t you just get over it
It turned my whole world around
And I kind of like it

I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don’t mind sayin’
It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they’d write me a letter
Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

What it is you think I should

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

Imagine - John Lennon

I`ve heard this so a million times before, but the lyrics never hit me until today. Pandora served up the Jack Johnson version and as he sang out "... Nothing to kill or die for..." I realized this song represents everything I stand for....

Here are the lyrics to Imagine by John Lennon:

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
